THE CONVERGENCE COALITION
At the level of their traditional pillar cornerstone teachings, most of the world’s major religions are in agreement about several fundamental issues, which may indeed constitute universal truths. These probable truths represent the timeless wisdom of the ancient mystics, sages, masters, saints and prophets whose teachings and insights originally gave birth to the world’s major religions thousands of years ago.
In recent decades, the global spiritual awakening movement and also frontier science have offered metaphysical views which are compatible and similar, perhaps even convergent in some key respects. This promising alignment of perspectives provides the basis for construction of a burgeoning convergence model, represented in the content of Eternea’s Seven Statements. Consequently, Eternea has created The Convergence Coalition as a vehicle to nurture and strengthen this long overdue convergence between science, spirituality and religion by building on the points of agreement among them.
The Coalition endeavors to serve as a unifying platform or nexus between frontier science, religion and the spiritual awakening movement. It aims to bring together, on commonly shared ground, prominent progressive leaders from the world’s major religions, the spiritual awakening community and frontier science. It seeks to provide an open forum to exchange views, formulate strategies and implement specific initiatives to help achieve Eternea’s broad mission and vision.
The central cornerstone teaching of all the world’s great religions and spiritual philosophy is that human beings should love one another unconditionally. This is surprisingly fully compatible with the findings of frontier science from STE research and research into the nature of consciousness, culminating in the astute empirical observation that unconditional love is the organizing principle of the universe.
Thus, the importance of loving one another is at the core of the common ground which represents a bridge between religion, science and spirituality. It is the place where their disparate interests can converge. Through the Coalition, Eternea will sponsor specific initiatives intentionally designed to facilitate this critical convergence, where science, spirituality and religion can all learn from one another and become optimized through the process.
The inaugural project of the Convergence Coalition is sponsorship of the Annual International Congress for the Convergence of Science, Religion and Spirituality.
The Coalition’s charge is to devise methods, tools, programs, ideas, strategies and resources that will help unite science, religion and spirituality in their common quest to discover universal truth and to aid in the co-creation of an optimal future in which the practice of unconditional love becomes commonplace. In this context, the Coalition aspires to help science, spirituality and religion to self-actualize and become empowered to collectively achieve their highest potential as vital catalysts in the advancement of human civilization.
