 Eternea’s focus and scope revolves around rigorous scientific study of “Spiritually Transformative Experiences” (STEs) and “Non-Local Consciousness Experiences” (NLCEs) with particular emphasis on torsion physics, all to be defined and explained in this section of our website. These broad fertile subjects offer highly promising opportunities for robust scientific research into the meaning, purpose and nature of existence. Taken together, they represent the best pathway available to science to probe the question of life after death and the potential of eternal incorporeal consciousness. 

As such, Eternea considers these subjects to be top priorities for aggressive research and education when funding becomes available. Note that the following discussion of these subjects is intended to be a simple introduction or superficial overview, nothing more. Eternea plans to eventually offer comprehensive resources and information about these subjects, providing both a summary of the current knowledge in each of these fields, as well as an in-depth analysis about the state of the art for each. 

Additionally, when resources allow, Eternea also intends to maintain an STE Electronic Registry (STEER) on its website where people can archive and publicly share first-hand accounts of their STE(s) or NLCE(s). Experiencers will be able to upload documents, scans of images, audio and video files in addition to their personal first-hand narrative account of their experience or experiences.

SPIRITUALLY TRANSFORMATIVE EXPERIENCES

An STE is defined as an exceptional, extraordinary, peak, mystical, transcendent or transpersonal experience of one kind or another, in which an individual encounters deceased loved ones, divine entities or divine realms of existence. Such experiences often involve separation from one’s own physical body, out of body travel to another dimension of reality and subsequent spiritual transformation. They include such phenomena as NDEs or ‘near-death experiences’, SDEs or ‘shared-death experiences’, OBEs or ‘out-of-body experiences’, angel encounters, after-death communication or contact, deathbed visions or nearing-death awareness, past life recall and many more types of transpersonal experiences that elevate one’s perception, awareness, or consciousness beyond the five senses and transport one’s consciousness to another realm or dimension outside of ordinary everyday mundane reality. 

Sometimes, an STE involves the manifestation of exceptional abilities such as telepathy or remote viewing while in an out-of-body state, as well as encounters with deceased loved ones or divine entities in a non-physical or non-material spiritual realm. People who undergo an STE often report profound life-changing consequences. Typically, they become more altruistic and spiritual. They also overcome the fear of death. They usually develop a strong belief in eternal existence and the oneness of all things.

The Gallup Poll organization estimates that approximately one-third of all adults in the world have had a near-death experience (NDE), which is one of the most common types of STEs. Since 1974, a plethora of books, articles, news and feature reports, and movies on the subject of STEs have appeared. Moreover, scores of scholarly and scientific articles have been published in professional and academic journals. Additionally, historical STE accounts can be found in the literature dating back to ancient Greece during the time of Plato.
