PUBLIC EDUCATION & MASS AWARENESS PARTNERSHIP (MAP)
It is true that today the general public are more aware of STEs than ever before. Over the past 50 years or so, scores of popular best-selling books have been published on the subject. Also, numerous movies and documentaries have been made primarily in regard to the near-death experience (NDEs).
Additionally, numerous newspaper and magazine articles have been published about NDEs, as well as the broadcasting of thousands of television and radio interviews with topical experts. Moreover, vast internet-based resources, webinars, frequent conferences and various support-oriented trade organizations have all contributed greatly to the expansion of knowledge in this area. Consequently, most people have at least heard about near-death experiences (NDEs), to cite one kind of STE, and know at least a little about them.
NDEs are the best known of all STEs due to the commanding attention they have received from popular media, so this should come as no surprise. But despite this exponential expansion in knowledge and awareness about NDEs over the past half century, most people have only a superficial understanding of them, and comparatively little or no understanding of other types of STEs and NCLEs (see the Appendix for a comprehensive list). Moreover, a great deal of misinformation has clouded thinking and created confusion about this subject, diminishing its impact and influence on society, as well as the perceptions or opinions of the average person.
As a result, what could have been a powerful catalyst for individual and social change has been considerably diluted in its potency. What’s more, endless debate among scientists and skeptics about alternative explanations for NDEs and other STEs has only added to the diminution of these powerful experiences and their significance for humankind, leaving much of the public bewildered about what these experiences signify and what relevance they may have on a personal and global level.
Dating back to antiquity, there is a plethora of credible case reports in the literature detailing extraordinary STEs that cannot be explained within the existing materialist model of reality. This veritable treasure chest of information should be revisited, resurrected and repackaged for popular consumption and scientific scrutiny.
This cornucopia of invaluable information deserves the implementation of well-funded, well-conceived and well-executed world-wide educational campaigns using all manner of print, broadcast and social/digital media to convey key message points to the general public on a continual highly creative and innovative basis, for all the positive changes it could inspire. It is purely a matter of common sense that the voluminous amount of vital information already in existence concerning STEs and consciousness should be generously shared with the public as a priority.
This substantial body of knowledge by itself, if effectively presented and disseminated to the public, could be sufficiently powerful to register a huge and favorable impact on the collective psyche leading to a deeper appreciation of why all of us have a responsibility to fully participate in a global spiritual awakening, revolution or reformation…a new Age of Enlightenment, Eternea’s Mass Awareness Partnership (MAP) will be an organized network of strategic affiliated partners and programs which collectively undertake highly coordinated multi-faceted educational campaigns that seek to educate the global public about STEs and NLCEs in every conceivable manner.
MAP activities include lectures, workshops, conferences, seminars and symposia for the general public; webinars and podcasts; social media campaigns; book and magazine publications; forums and blogspots; paid and donated advertising (print, broadcast and social media); film and documentary productions; periodic news conferences featuring key scientists, ongoing distribution of press releases; public relations promotions and special events; YouTube postings from the STEER database of STEs and NLCEs; and initiatives to develop and place teaching tools and curricula at formal educational institutions at all academic levels.
The purpose of all these efforts is to convey in a credible manner salient message points and pertinent information which would reinforce the validity of The Seven Statements and encourage popular acceptance of them as a matter of great importance to individuals and society.
MAP also provides virtual demonstrations of STE and NLCE phenomena through virtual reality and augmented reality technology, as well as computer animation. Reading about these phenomena is one manner of introduction, but having a virtual introduction to such experiences is far more impactful upon the psyche. So too is watching and listening to first-hand accounts live and in-person in real time.
